Candice Swanepoel was born in Mooi River, KwaZulu-Natal (South African province), and was spotted by a model scout at a flea market at age 15. By age 16, Swanepoel was earning $7,000 for a day’s work.
Since then Swanepoel has worked for such companies as Nike, Diesel, Guess?, Tommy Hilfiger, and Dolce & Gabbana and for such magazines as Vogue, Elle and just about every men’s interests magazine ever printed.
After working for several years in the Victoria’s Secret camp, Candice Swanepoel officially became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2010.
