NEW ENGLAND – Patriot’s Quarterback Tom Brady is expected to miss the 2008 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

In the first quarter of Sunday’s Pats/Chiefs match-up, Brady took a low hit from safety Bernard Pollard which caused the damage and sidelined him for the rest of the game. While New England coach Bill Belichick said in his postgame press conference that he had no update on the status of Brady’s injury, Patriots team captain obvious offered these wise words of wisdom:

“It’s bad, we’re going to have to play without him.”

Though the injury won’t be confirmed until his MRI on monday, we’re not impressed that the player who preferred to remain unnamed was unable to offer anything worth quoting, but in a flash of mediocrity, we quoted it anyway.
