10 Movies Guys Should Admit Made Them Cry

Posted on 15 Sep 2009 at 1:51pm

Our buddies over at Manolith compiled a list of 10 films that guys should admit made them cry.

I have a few friends who say the list is pretty accurate but I cannot vouch for it myself because I have never cried in my entire life. I am a real man. And if you know anything about real men it’s that they do not cry. But I don’t expect you to know that because you are not a real man like me.

If my eyes ever appear glossy (which is very rare) it’s because I am a real athletic man, and real athletic men, which I am, tend to sweat more than men with vaginas. Consequently, when my core body temperature reaches a certain level (a level much higher than most, usually around 120º Celsius) my eyeballs tend to perspire profusely.

My eyes may sweat, but I do not cry.

Head over to Manolith to check out the list.

Brett Favre retires from coming out of retirement from the NFL

Posted on 12 Feb 2009 at 1:15am

Earlier today, we received word that Brett Favre was hanging up the jersey, and retiring from the NFL. So naturally, the first thing we discussed was who he would sign with this fall.

However, after hearing Favre speak on issue, we recognized the sincerity in his tone–it wasn’t interpolated with whimpers or embellished with occasional sob-sister sniffles like usual.

He appears to be speaking the truth–though after the way his stint with the Jets unraveled, he should have made last year’s retirement speech the truth.

All things considered, Brett, you’ve had a hell of a career. Tonight is Wednesday night, which is pretty much like Thursday, which is pretty much like Friday, so I’ll raise a glass in honor of your retirement from coming out of retirement from the NFL.

And for those of you who were wishing he would dispel many tears like he did a year ago, we’ve provided what we like to call, The Unfortunately Difinitive Brett Favre Sob-Sister Gallery.
