When we found out that Alex Rodriguez tested positive for steroids in 2003 we sent our field news team out to New York to cover the story.
By the time our team arrived, everyone had already heard the news and we were stuck without a story.
But while perusing through the Yankees’ new stadium, we stumbled upon a small, unattended hole in the west wall and decided to take a peek to see what we could find.
The hole took us into the new Yankee clubhouse, and sitting right in front of us was the locker of Alex Rodriguez (custodial staff must have moved his belongings from an oak locker to a more conventional, high school gym class style metal locker following the steroid scandal).
We snapped one photo and left–this is it.

NBC announced that the White Stripes, who haven’t performed together since 2007, will return to Late Night for a special Conan O’Brien send-off show.
The Stripes have made appearances on Conan several times in the past, including a week-long stint in 2003, and even included the show in Michel Gondry’s music video for hit single–The Denial Twist–from their album–Get Behind Me Satan–as seen below.
Because after all, this is Banned In Hollywood, it’s only natural that we throw a shout out to our family favorite Alyssa Milano in support of her favorite team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, despite her loyalties to the NY Mets.
If photo evidence weren’t enough, Alyssa Milano is a baseball fan through and through not just because Alyssa’s blog cogitates on baseball, nor because of her past relationships with Carl Pavano, Brad Penny and Barry Zito, or her season Dodger box tickets, but because she chose to show at Chavez Ravine with Manny dreads on head – that’s dedication, Dodger dedication. And what better way to end the week than to see the boys in blue sweep the Phil’s in four games?
Alyssa is so supportive of what the Dodgers are doing that she proposed a $10 K.M.I.L.A.F designed to do just that, keep Manny in LA.
Hopefully she gets this thing moving, it would be a bummer to lose Manny to Andruw Jones’ $18 Million yearly salary. Though, at that rate the Dodgers would have to pay Manny around $65 Million per year (based on Jones’ salary to performance ratio, or S2P).
Thank God Jones isn’t much of a trendsetter.
