While she may consider herself a tennis player, everyone knows the only thing she’s good at is standing as still as she possibly can in front of cameras, preferably wearing as little clothing as possible.

I have a few lady friends who are to intellect, what Anna Kournikova is to tennis. Most of them gave up on thinking for a few years, but have just recently started reading (mostly Matt Christopher books, The Kid Who Only Hit Homers etc…). Problem is, they’re not quote as attractive as Anna, so the pictures they take of themselves at parties don’t end up on the cover of Sports Illustrated, they end up on Facebook.

Sports Illustrated recently released the 2009 Swimsuit Issue and featured Bar Refaeli on the cover but didn’t include a photo set of SI favorite Marisa Miller–(with Brooklyn Decker they didn’t really need to).

Victoria’s Secret however, took advantage of Miller’s absence from SI and booked her for a few shots in their upcoming catalog.

Last week Sports Illustrated unveiled Bar Refaeli as the cover model for the highly anticipated 2009 Swimsuit Issue. Making the coveted cover is to modeling (non nude) what winning an Academy Award is to acting, so you’d expect the job offers to come rolling in… and they certainly have.

Below are a few spec shots from Bar Refaeli’s most recent lingerie shoot.

Marisa Miller was spotted on St. Barts beach readying herself, and taking part in her first of many swimsuit shoots in 2009. If you don’t know who she is, this is likely your first time on the internets. If this is true, here’s a quick briefing via chickipedia:
