Images of women representing mother earth, and mother nature, are timeless. In prehistoric times, goddesses were worshiped for their association with fertility, but now that 80% of women use birth control, fertility is no longer a viable symbol of femininity. And thus this fertile-female with nature is becoming a fallacy as trees begin to show undeniable signs of a certain phallic.
