Sorry but americans do like soccer. Millions of us play it, more than any other youth sport. The health of the league is at an all time high and growing. 5+ cities are banging on the doorstep of MLS wanting to pay the $40,000,000 franchise fee to get their city a franchise. People keep ragging on soccer like unless its the number one sport in the country, nobody likes it. Its got its nice section of fans that keeps growing year by year. This isn’t even counting the millions of latin immigrants and latin-americans who are already huge fans of the mexican and south american leagues. If you don’t believe soccer is popular in this country then why are there are bunch of dedicated soccer only channels and espn picking up tons of MLS games and euro2008 was a success.
